This course is quite confusing, nerve-wracking, and scary to students who want to take it. There is a myth that Chartered accounting courses are very difficult to succeed in. As soon as you fill out the CA foundation exam form, you will be on your way to success. CA foundation exams can be passed by anyone if they approach them correctly. Each subject in CA Foundation carries 100 marks. There are two subjective papers and two objective papers. It is also important for students to work on their presentation and writing skills before taking the CA foundation exam. These two skills play an important role in clearing the exam. May/June and November/December are the dates when ICAI conducts its exams. When you fill out the CA foundation registration form, you need to start preparing.

In accounting, students can score full marks, which makes it one of the most popular subjects. For high marks, you need to practice this subject every day. Paper 2: Correspondence and reporting related to business law

The paper is divided into two sections: Business law and Business correspondence and reporting. 

Let’s begin by discussing the preparation strategy for Business laws.

12th grade students are unfamiliar with this subject. The purpose of CA foundation courses is to provide students with a basic understanding of the general laws of our country. In order to become a CA in India, you should start by learning the laws from the ground up. 

The weightage of theory subjects is 60 marks. Practicing your presentation skills will help you succeed in this subject. As a theory subject, it requires constant revision. The key to getting good marks is to include some key words in your answers. 

We will now discuss the preparation strategy for Business Correspondence and Reporting. 

The subject is also known as “General English”. Since ICAI revised its syllabus recently, it added a subject on communication skills to the Chartered Accountancy course. As a student, you have already studied the basics of English during your school years. 

There is a weightage of 40 marks for this part. It can be a cherry on top if you are an English medium student. Having a good grasp of your concepts requires you to study this subject at least 3 times in a week for 2 hours regularly. 

BUSINESS MATH, LOGICAL READING, BUSINESS STATISTICS – Paper 3

This is an objective type paper divided into 3 sections. 

1) Business Mathematics (40)

2) Logical Reasoning (20)

3) Statistics (40)

In this paper, students have the opportunity to get full marks, making it one of the most popular subjects among students. This course consists of 40 marks and covers most of the material that is taught in 11th and 12th grades. For students with a math background, this subject will be easy because they are familiar with the topics, but non-math students will find it challenging. The objective type of paper requires daily practice. On ICAI’s official website, you can download study materials. If you want to improve your skills, you can solve one paper every day. 

Logical Reasoning is the second section. The CA foundation exam consists of only 20 marks, but each and every mark counts when you are preparing for it. The topics covered in this section cover what we have learned up to 10th grade. In this subject, the more you practice, the better you will become at solving problems. 

Additionally, statistics covers general math concepts that you have studied up to 10th grade. If you used a calculator, you could easily solve these questions in the CA Foundation exam. 

If You can score well in this paper if you concentrate on reasoning and statistics if you are from a different stream. 

Paper 4: Economics of Business and Commercial Knowledge

The paper is divided into two sections of an objective type.

1) Business Economics (60)

2) Business and Commercial Knowledge (40)

A total of 60 marks are assigned to business economics. Since commerce students have already studied this subject in class 11th and 12th, they will find this subject very easy. This subject will become easier for you to score well in. Additionally, you can practice with the modules and practice papers provided by ICAI on their official website. 

Business and Commercial Knowledge carries a weighted score of 40 points. Recently, ICAI introduced this course to give a basic understanding of business. 

In order to pass this level of the CA foundation course, you must understand the basic concepts. Prepare your syllabus at least a month before the exam and allow a month for revisions. Do not read a single subject every day or for 20 days, as you will get bored. Attempt the exams at least three times after revising the syllabus.
